India is trying to shift from an agricultural industry directly to a services industry, skipping manufacturing. That will make India's rise extremely difficult and slow, and it will be hard to lift people out of poverty. The middle class of India is tiny, and wealth disparity will only increase if they keep neglecting manufacturing. They have a long way to go. I am curious what their government has in plan. It is my opinion that they adopted democracy too hastily.
