i got bored with normal history class cause our teachers truly were incompetent, so i looked up into some stuff myself (ancient civilisations, colonialism, new world, WW2 etc)
It helped since i had a lot of time on my hands and i was interested in history more so than most classes
I remember how we had an entire thing on WW2, and then our teacher said "Okay, now we are going to have the holocaust as an ENTIRE different session. For 2 weeks we will learn about it, as it is a big topic.
...and all we learned is that 6 million died. I have no clue why we wasted our time when they literally could have told us that. Hitler hated jews, he sent them to death, the end.
