I'm a Trump supporter, but how can you sit there and think protesters (with their right to organize under the first amendment) are "infringing on our trump's first amendment rights"

Meanwhile, Trump wants to sharpen up libel laws which literally limit free speech.

>pic unrelated. This asshole deserves to go to jail.

According to Obama's H.R. 347, it's illegal to protest at or near a presidential rally (if they have secret service protection.)

Just food for thought.
>>
its illegal as fuck to stand in the street and block traffic. Even if youre a proven retard, or bernie supporter for the politically correct.

Now respond to the part about wanting to ratchet up defamation laws, which are 100% applicable to the first amendment
>>
I think the libel law thing is to mostly stop media from being able to lie to the American people
>>
>>67191530
Do you seriously not see the difference between a peaceful protest and a mob attacking people? These animals even blocked the ambulances. That's not a protest. That's almost a riot, and at least civil disturbance.
>>
>>67192080
Stop trying to confuse the angry libtard with facts.
>>

It is the US governments duty to ensure US citizens' right to peaceful assembly.

Attempting to disrupt a peaceful assembly is against the law. If they want to protest, they must do it somewhere else, not in the middle of an assembly in a private venue.

I don't care about limiting free speech to lefties they already do it to us

Give those fuckers their own medicine see how they like it

Lol if you think he's doing it for the people, and not because he's super sensitive to his media perception and never hesitates to say the media are "the most dishonest people on Earth" to dismiss 100% of what they say.

>libtard
Right, federal control of the media is so conservative.
>>
>>67192415
Libel is not federal control of the media you fucking retard.
>>
>>67192415
If you think the media leans to the right you are far more retarded than I originally thought.

I retract my previous statements and sincerely hope you're wearing your helmet.

If you had ever worked in the journalism industry, you would understand how corrupt and backward the press is in the US. They don't care about freedom of expression, they only care about money. You're scared that we won't have a "free press" in the US - the press is already not free. Dissenting opinions already get drowned out by mainstream narratives. Non-conforming people get targeted by yellow journalism and misleading articles, or branded with outright lies. There is no protection in place against it. You have big media outlets funded by extremely wealthy people, and it's their narratives that get pushed - they control the news in the country.

It's bad for our country, it's bad for the people, and it's bad for journalists as well. If you want to be a journalist, you either play ball or you don't get published. Simple as that. Your only recourse is non-mainstream news, which is discredited in the eyes of the average person simply because it's not fox/cnn/nbc.

Character assassination/libel isn't really part of "free speech." It's an attempt to destroy someone's reputation or negatively affect someone in some way and generally the person/people making the assertion have something to gain from doing it. For example, accusing someone of being a rapist, murderer, etc. could be considered libel without any tangible evidence or some form of proof to the contrary. It's really words being used as an action.
>>
>>67192977
He's probably reading the case I posted and feeling really dumb

>>67191530
Fucking shill. But hey, maybe libel laws should be tightened, then no canidate will ever have to go through what Trump has. This country is a joke.

>>

This.
This has been outside free speech from the beginning.
At the time that free speech was being innovated and defined, monarchs would categorically ban discussion itself of a topic which they felt threatened their power. The Austrian monarchy had literal totalitarian-style spies and informers reporting on every conversation.
Freedom of speech is so you can have unpopular political opinions. That is what it actually is. Porn is accidentally grandfathered because they couldn't figure out a consistent way to ban it. Free speech does not mean you can say anything and never did, and the only people who argue so are Alinskyites trying to wreck the system.

No, the mainstream media clearly generally has a liberal bias.

Oh fuck right off. The thing about the libel laws is bullshit. He just wants to hold the press to the same standard as everyone else when it comes to libel.

As it stands currently, to successfully sue a press outlet for libel, which is published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation, you must prove MALICIOUS INTENT. Because of this, the press can outright knowingly lie, but play dumb and be like "buh I waz just goin by muh sources" and get off free.

If you aren't the press, it doesn't fucking matter what your intent was, if it what is published is:
A)Not true
B)Damaging to the subject's reputation

-then you're fucked.

God forbid the press having to do a more thorough job of making sure their sources aren't full of shit, and actually report truth.

Shutting down a political rally and silencing dissenting voices is not Free Speech OP.

Also, needing to back up your accusations before going public is important. That's how you end accusations of racism and rape and the wild reactions.

Nice false-flag? They rioted until he couldn't speak, then cheered that they won. This is exactly what they want, they want to shut things down so opinions they don't like can't be heard ever.

At another press conference they've tried to rush the stage as well.

Its not a nice peaceful protest, they are trying to shut down your ability to speak. If they can make you never speak again, they will consider it a victory. Whether that means they chant and riot each time you try, or whether they have to kill you to make it happen.
>>
>>67191530
Its a crime thanks to Obama to protest where someone is under the protection of secret service.

A FEDERAL CRIME.

Send all the protesters to prison, ideally private supermax prisons.
>>
>>67191530
I believe the argument you like to use on the left is that the first amendment does not shield you from consequences of speech.

Oh, but I'm sure that doesn't apply now that you're getting the short end of the stick.

They're trump supporters. Its free speech when they like it and provoking when they don't.

The same people saying protesters are just inciting violence at the Trump rallies are the same people defending the KKK doing a March on an ethnic neighborhood because it's their 1st amendment right.
There's no reasoning with these hicks. None at all.

Only when you protest against Obama
An assassination attempt against a Republican is A okay though

Who wants to bet the Obama administration let him go?

>Meanwhile, Trump wants to sharpen up libel laws which literally limit free speech.
Libel is neither free nor protected speech. If you can't back your facts when making an accusation, you deserve both a physical and legal punch to the mouth.
>>
I was a die-hard Rand Paul supporter prior to his dropping out. I think libertarianism is the truest, most powerful incarnation of conservatism. I want someone who is strictly anti-regime change, will decrease federal spending AND military spending. There's no consistency when a conservative wants to massively increase military spending unnecessarily.

Trump is a fairly liberal conservative in a lot of his positions, including Planned Parenthood and anti-TPP plus tariffs.

I support him but he has a lot of skeletons in his media-embellished closet.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER VIEWS OF THIS PROTESTER?

BETTER VIEWS MAYBE?
