I want to see him unite the country through a healthy, inclusive form of nationalism. We can still pay attention to how blacks get fucked by the police and how Asians are discriminated against in higher education and that sort of thing, because they're important issues, but we need to do it without pushing an anti-white narrative. The most realistic way to overcome the divisions in this country, in my opinion, is if we learn to see ourselves as Americans before all else. I don't really think a literal wall is necessary. It has symbolic value, but I think better policing of the border and the elimination of sanctuary cities will solve 90% of the illegal immigration problem.

I don't think that form of identity has the pull necessary to stabilize the sociopolitical situation. I don't think North American integration is a bad idea - we'd be richer and safer if we removed barriers to cooperation and the free flow of goods / people / capital between us and the Canadians and Mexicans - but I don't think we as a people are ready to get behind that yet.
