I would agree but I believe the point is simply that men are worth more than their material output, or as the post above you noted is so prevalent instead in the modern day, their intake. On it's own, capitalism is a good idea, but insufficient to maintain good qualities in a man. The system can reward liars and thieves just as well as those who work hard if they are good enough at it. Broadly speaking it rewards skill, even when the skill is sometimes at the expense of others.
