Neocons are gambling on Russia suffering internal politic collapse before they can start WWIII. Their prospects also say that in case of NATO-Russia civil war, only the Eastern Europeans are at risk of dying.
And they want to take the gamble because if Russia manages to recover itself economically when Oil goes back up again, and they are in control of Syria, Iraq and Iran, they will be in a good position to become a Regional Power again, destroying American Hegemony.
