In the UK, we were told that a Christian far-right party (anti-EU nationalists) took power and suspended the judiciary and supreme court so they can write a new right-wing constitution.

No, the protests aren't really mass. It's the butthurt supporters of the party that lost power that are being whipped into a cult like frenzy by their leaders because "democracy is ending" People other then protestors don't give a fuck. They are getting a lot of coverage from western media because the media are leftist and it fits the "Left wing freedom fighters fight conservative authoritarians" narrative the journos want to believe. Plus EU establishment is unhappy we don't take migrants now so we are getting the "literally Hitler" treatment Orban is getting.
