Sounds reasonable to me.
I understand the logic behind getting rid of the penny, and wouldn't really miss it if it were gone. But I'm unmotivated about it. I don't mind having all that zinc weight in my pockets, usually pay in exact change and don't use vending machines often enough to be frustrated by their uselessness there.

You keep pennies because it takes more to make than they're worth. You limit the money that goes around in circulation and helps curb inflation.
Look at canada with the Looney being the go to coin of choice. Things start matching the price of the Looney and the Twoney because it's so convenient and easy to use people dont' think twice about throwing 2 dollars into a vending machine.
It does help circulate more money if you have bigger coins though. But that means money supply just keeps going up. That was the problem with Credit Cards. It was so convenient, more people took on debt faster and easier than having to store away coins to buy something
