Imagine this, every time their temple is destroyed they disperse, so twice in history they've experienced a diaspora and there are actually two waves of Jews that have populated Eurasia and Ethiopia.
So some went north, either to Greece where the money was or to Ukraine or Crimea which was a Greek colony they exiled people to. Some went south, to a pre-existing Jewish population in Ethiopia.
