I'm an ex government employee and current High School teacher (I do History and English) and I have to fucking reverse every single thing people like this cunt do to kids.
The first thing I do to every year 7 class that I encounter is redpill them on how to filter incoming opinions and how to gather unbiased actual facts.
Every single time. Every. Single. Time. I have to explain to someone how practically the past 100 years of history have been rewritten.
You ever seen a bunch of modern Generation Z 13 year olds try to explain Hitler? I keep an actual folder of his speeches with ACTUAL FUCKING TRANSCRIPTIONS (I know a decent amount of German and have a buddy from Uni I can get translations from) to display to the class.
They always change their opinions. Once I've gotten the basics down (Never let anyone tell you what to think, The truth is always somewhere you just have to find it, People WILL try to take advantage of you, Don't fall prey to them) I tell them one thing.
Go back home. Find out the truth about what I've said, tear apart what I've said, write it down, come back to class with it.
I've been blown the fuck out by literal teenagers over almost every single thing I've brought up in classes over the years. The Cold War, WW2, WW1, Hell even 9/11, which most of them were not alive to see.
And it makes me tear up. I love it. I love being proved wrong because that means they've taken the opinions and "Facts" of a person superior to them, and actually taken them with a grain of salt.
A girl I used to teach from my Year 11 class is now actually working for the NSA. They picked her up. Why? Turns out actually being able to filter through data and being impartial is a great skill to have, and the NSA picked up on that very well in her stay at University.

It's in an Amendment, and that Amendment can be changed if enough states and people agree to it. You are right he can not change it directly, but the people can. If a person is smart enough to get paid for his work, he will get more. 7 dollars an hour is a completely normal wage for the US (You can move to a less expensive area if you don't like it), and the states can increase the minimum wage separately.

You are aware that Congress generally agrees on most things the President proposes, simply because that's how the government continues functioning?
Remember the US Government shut down in 2014? That was because Congress couldn't get their shit together and stalled for so long the US Budget couldn't get signed.
They've learned. Most things the Democrats and Republicans will agree on. This is how it's always worked with the US Government. The President is simply a reflection of the opinion of the people at the time, and can influence the country. The people under him will ensure the country continues to exist no matter what.
