I supported Ron Paul because he would shake things up and purge our government. I support Donald Trump for the same reason and agree/disagree with some of his policies and with different policies for Ron Paul.
I'm a transhumanist and it serves my interests more to vote for Donald Trump than it is to vote for the Transhumanist Party, the same goes for libertarians.

In libertarianism the government is still there to protect the life, liberty, and property of the citizens. They just don't meddle in the market/businesses or have any social agendas.

Private charities would still exist. If you ever came upon hard times, there are plenty of non-profits that would help you get back on your feet, but anyone looking for a free ticket to just not work is out of luck.

Libertarianism and anarchism put too much faith into the masses. 98% of the people are plebs who aren't capable of critical thought. Hell, most people today don't think about the future at all and get huge loans because it makes them happy right now.
