Berniefags praise Bernie as being someone who champions civil liberties, but Ron Paul was the entire package with a consistent record.

So how is Bernie gaining traction but Ron Paul didn't?

Who is this old man? I see him posted here all the time what the fuck
>>
>>66854531
Americans are very stupid?
>>
>>66854531
Even 17 year old communists can see how stupid libertarianism is.
>>
>>66854531
Because they are much much better at PR
>>
He was shunned from the media and only ever a candidate in a crowded feild.

Trump would have met the same fate if it weren't for his celebrity and the media gobbling up the things he said and reporting them as outrageous
>>
>>66854531
Unlike Bernie, Ron Paul's plan to tackle anything he might have seen as corruption was to throw your hands up and deregulate, which would make things worse. Bernie wants to repeal Citizens United and make elections publicly funded instead of making it a corporate media circus which can be bought and sold. Also, Paul was inconsistent on his stances (for example, he was pro-life). Finally, I think Paul was really low energy and failed to either inspire anyone or really trounce his opponents. He was also very effeminate. He sounds like Herbert from Family Guy.

Libertarianism is useless because it is ultimately a philosophy and not an actual plan. It has no end goal.
>>
His campaign was ignored and marginalized by the media. They had such hubris that they laughed at his campaign on air.

Ron Paul made the way for sanders and trump
>>
>>66854531
because bernie sanders says: "wall street, corrupt, 1%, 2%, free everything.
Rand paul talks about how monetary policy contributes to income inequality and even quantitative easing is a part of the problem.
But the problem is is that nobody knows what quantitative easing or artificial interest rates are. The key is to speak at a 4th grade level.

The end goal of libertarianism is avoidance. Is there a problem? Let someone else take care of it. Economy in the gutter? It'll take care of itself. But when you challenge a libertarian, they start demanding you to respect their "rights". Where's the invisible hand then? Surely if natural rights exist, the invisible hand will protect your free speech and property rights.

You can't run on a platform of doing nothing.
>>
>>66854531
It helps when Bernie's only competition is one of the most corrupt and unlikable politicians in recent history.
>>
this thread is full of cucks
bernie is doing well because he gives people free shit.

Ron Paul is the best politician to ever grace this country.
Why do you hate freedom so much? Why do you love being told what to do?
>>
>>66855530
>Surely if natural rights exist, the invisible hand will protect your free speech and property rights.
Is this a troll? constitutional rights have nothing to do with the invisible hand or even Keynesianism.
>>
>>66854531
He was cucked by the media and too soft on exposing their corruption
>>
>>66854845
>repeal a supreme court decision
Fucking leaf
>>
Ron Paul didn't use the word free enough.
>>
>>66854531
He let himself get permacucked by the media, and he was just another candidate in a crowded field with retards like Herman Cain.
>>
>>66854531
Actually from what I'm seeing, a lot of Ron Paul supporters are now berniefags. Also, I remember how Paul was being ignored by the media in 2012 even though he was raising a ton of money and filling stadiums.

The treatment Paul got from the establishment media is pretty much the same Bernie got until maybe February where they started covering him a little more.

Actually, the similarities between Paul and Bernie are pretty staggering, as far as their campaigns went/go.
>>
Ron Paul gained plenty support on the Internet.
sup wordfiltered to Ron Paul for ages on 4chan

Bernie is Jewish.

FREE SHEEEEIT

Ron Paul never promised free shit. Quite the opposite, in fact.

>go from libertarianism to full blown democratic socialism

Nuke anything who actually unironically went from Paul to Hernie.
>>
>>66854531
Ron lost my support when he went after Trump. Trump is the closes thing to a libertarian getting into office and instead of supporting Trump. He's demonizing Trump by calling him a "bully".
>>
Because Sanders is running as a Democrat and Ron was a Republican.
>>
>>66854531
It's easy for Bernie to gain traction when you're running against someone as hideous as Hillary.
>>
>>66854531
Because Paul didn't pander to SJWs Niggers and entitled liberals all three of which are the driving forces behind social media and pop culture. Paul wanted people to be independent, to do things for themselves without government interference. Bernie is the opposite. The only similarities between them is that they both aren't bought, they are both old white men, and they both get ignored by the media. Bernie is anti gun and his economics completely disagrees with Ron Paul's.
>>
Dr. Ron Paul tells people what they need to hear. Hernie Sanders tells people what they want to hear.
>>
Because by voting age most people have outgrown being libertarian
