Yes, easily. First off, the current polls that show Sanders beating Trump in the general are not of so-called "likely voters", they are of the general population. Second of all, many people don't follow politics and don't know anything about Sanders at all, but they do know who Trump is and many people have unfavorable views of Trump.
So basically they are being asked "Would you vote for Trump or this guy you've never heard of" and these people, many of whom don't even plan to vote at all, say "I'd vote for the guy I've never heard of".
They don't start doing general election polls of likely voters until September. Until then these general election polls are utterly useless.
