I've read that but I've never looked into the polls. Keep in mind that Trump hasn't even started on Hillary and when he did for a brief moment this winter Bill's favorability(her key to success) plummeted. Polling data in march doesn't mean jack shit. There has been no focus on anyone besides Trump on the GOP side, and Hillary has done her best to stay absolutely hidden away in the shadows.
The data can show Cruz beating her now because people may not know a damn thing about Cruz. But if he got the nomination, all focus would be on him, and all his dirty laundry would come out. And it would've have already been vetted during the primaries like with Trump.

First of all, that data is falsified as there were polls just weeks ago saying he TRUMPED her tremendously. Second, Trump has crushed polls (that were likely falsified, as these are) time and again. Third, do you honestly believe that the results would remain the same after they debate? Any time Trump has had a chance to debate someone and isn't being attack from all sides, the opponent's numbers dwindle. Actually, even when he is getting attacked from all sides, an opponent still ends up flaking away - Rubio.

Also this, Cruz has not had the media literally up his asshole like Trump has, the Clinton machine would dig up EVERYTHING on him and she would win. If Trump faced her in the general, the media would be lost because they have already thrown everything at him.
