As a proud Muslim, I'd like to state that I donated $40 to Bernie Sanders. I'm not a US citizen and I've never donated to a political campaigner before, but I strongly believe we need this man to be President and other Muslims in Canada seem to agree with me.
Personally I'm planning to immigrate to the United States and spend the next ten years working as a civil engineer if Bernie wins. I love the fact that he's been openly discussing the society of American Civil Engineers asking for over $1 trillion in infrastructure development. It opens the job market for Canadian civil engineers like myself to work there.
Also I'm proud that other muslims like myself in the state of Michigan voted overwhelmingly to keep Bernie in the race. Even though Sanders is Jewish we recognize he's the best leader we need in America right now. I have much of my family in New York and Florida, I strongly hope that more muslim and South Asian people continue supporting Sanders.
