I still believe socialism is the path to the future, particularly as automation eliminates more and more unskilled labor. If anything, I wish he would move further left and endorse basic minimum income. You also haven't convinced me that weed and abortions both shouldn't be unreservedly legal nationwide.

Why don't you learn a little macroeconomics? Look at comparative advantage models like Ricardian and Heckscher-Ohlin to understand why he's wrong on free trade. Look at SR11-7 and Basel III to understand why he's wrong on the banks. Look at what the Solow-Swan model implies about the effect of labor, productivity, and technology, and why a handout disincentivizes productivity. Look at what economists have to say about increasing the minimum wage to $15 in places like Upstate New York that have extremely low cost of living. Look at the Social Planner's Problem vs Competitive Equilibrium to understand why the free market is more likely than central planning to produce outcomes that make the most people better off.
Socialism was a great meme, and it was definitely excusable before we had the data on why it was wrong. But it's wrong.
