What is the plan in the Trump camp to deal with this guy? It's clear at this point he's a threat to Trump's success.

Cruz would never be given the nomination at a brokered convention. He's in bed with some money in the form of Goldman Sachs, sure, but he's no Rubio or Romney. The GOP would go with someone like them, or perhaps even Kasich, in the case of a brokered convention. Cruz is their second-worst choice, and for some he may even be the worst choice.

He can't even run for President. But he can spoil the primary and let the Establishment shill their way to victory at the convention. So theres really nothing Trump can do as long as people keep voting for someone who can't even hold office. Same deal with Rubio, he's an anchor baby, not a Natural Born Citizen.
Trump isn't even that great honestly, but it illustrates just how fucked the entire system is that they would go to such lengths to stop someone who isn't part of their script from winning.

The vote may split three ways, then the house would decide. If Romney ran as the republican he could very conceivably make it to the Oval Office. Cruz could be appointed to the Supreme Court and trump could be executed for treason. All would be well again.
