So what is the game plan for when the race inevitably goes to a brokered convention?

storm the Cleveland convention guns blazing, marshal law is enacted
>>66735206
Publically blacklist all GOP support via social media
Kasich won't win Ohio.

>inevitably goes to a brokered convention
>inevitably
you're retarded
>>66735439
Don't be delusional.
Revolt if they shaft Trump
>>66735206
He's the only one who qualifies, the only one who will have won a 40% rating in 8+ states. So even if there is a brokered convention, Trump's the only possible choice.
>>66737706
that rule is for winning outright, resorting to voting allows anyone to win and trump won't win because he is routinely hated by about 65% of voters
>>66735206
They won't. Do you honestly think the Republicans wouldn't nominate him if he got the popular vote? It would ruin the party and they would lose the election badly.
Stop posting this thread.
The people have no say in a brokered convention. It's all up to the people in the backroom to decide.
The GOPe has already shown they are willing to give Hillary 8 years as president rather than lose control of their party.

Nope. Trump's still well on track to win decisively. It is in NO way inevitable that it goes to convention.
>>66735206
Crash the party with no survivors.
>>66735206
Make deals.
Most votes
Most states
Most delegates
Better win.
>>66735439
Well let's see. Trump needs 791 more delegates. He can afford to lose 668 of the remaining delegates. Combined the rest of the candidates outnumber him by over 100 delegates. So he may win but barely.
>>66735206
Mittens won't be anointed Rule 40 forbids it
>>66740373
Quite a few winner-take-all states coming up though, he still needs to come in first in quite a few states.
Even if it happens
Back in 2012, the RNC introduced Rule 40, which states that the only candidates eligible to be in contention at a contested convention are candidates who have the support of a majority of delegates in at least eight states across the map.
Trump has won 11 states so far.
He will be ok
Trump makes the deal of a lifetime
Walks away with the nomination and a unified party
>>66740782
read the whole thing
>>66740782
I find Rule 40 funny. It was written so Ron Paul wouldn't have a shot in hell to upset the Republican party.
Now because of it the Establishment won't be able to have their dog in the race be up for consideration.

the rule only applies to the first ballot so if trump is the only person on the first ballot the majority delegates he hasn't won will abstain. then the secondary ballot rules take over and anyone can be nominated like romney.
there is literally zero chance trump wins a contested convention
