Japan and South Korea are full of hard working, reliable people. Iraq is full of Arabs.

Iraq also had the problem of people coming to fight from other countries because of money or idiology. Then throw in the teens that grew up remembering how decent life was before the invasion and how shit life was after where water, power, food, and sewage became spotty or limited as well as seeing their family and friends killed year after year. That made people angry enough to join the seasoned fighters that co-ordinate fighting thereby reinvigorating the fight against America.
That didn't happen in Germany or Japan because we broke them and nobody cared. The region was unstable and the people united through a religiously based feeling of persecution, this is why Iraq was always going to be a shit show.
