I am a southern democrat. I believe in a strong nation that protects its workers,restrains banks and the rich, tax the rich to pay for public work projects and have a wide safety net for our workers

Nationalist, I've pretty much had a 180 on my immigration views because of this election. I was raised in a deep blue Dem leaning state in a city that is like 15-20% foreign born. I now know how much immigration hurts wages and unemployment. I'm fairly socially conservative, used to not give a shit about same sex marriage but now kind of disagree but I don't give too much of a shit, I'd rather get government out of marriage because its just going to get worse with whatever movement comes next. I'm pro-life so that also tends to push me to the right. I'd say my economic policy is generally right leaning but I have some populist views I guess because I do think the minimum wage should be raised but mostly because I don't want to fund welfare for people who have full time jobs. I don't want socialized healthcare but that's partially because I'm looking to go into med school after I finish my Master's in microbiology.

If I had to find a term I would go with libertarian nationalist with conservative values.
