Do you think Hitler was an atheist, Catholic, occultist. or even something else?

Nobody knows for sure what he was it seems.
>>
Atheist or agnostic.
>inb4 retards post propaganda quotes

I feel like a lot of people identify as a certain religion but don't necessarily abide by the beliefs of it, or maybe follow a more twisted, convoluted sense of those beliefs. Hitler probably fell into one of those two categories, someone who was intrinsically amoral but claimed to abide to a religious practice, or someone who twisted the beliefs to fit his own lacking moral value. I would guess the latter.
>>
He was Buddhist/Shinto
>>
Hitler was baptised a Catholic but became an atheist later on in life. He and the Nazi party despised Christianity with a passion and he only claimed to be a Christian to win the votes of the German people

He thought christianity sucks and that Himmlers neobagenism was a waste of time.

Probably a tipper
>>
>>66675427
That is a good theory. He probably was an atheist deep down but identified with Christian ideology.

Obviously Austrian Catholic
>>
>>66675427
This is obviously the case. For example, a brief look at America will tell you that most self-professed Christians don't really care about or practice what Jesus taught, despite often going to church and holding firm stances on fringe issues. For most people, religious observance stops where it starts being inconvenient.

Atheist but recognized the need for Christian culture.

Anything else from his mouth is propaganda to enforce what I said
>>
He was a pagan
>>
He was an atheist that saw religion as something very useful.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Positive_Christianity

This is what he was pushing. It's basically Christianity with all Jewish ties cut off (including the entire old tesatment), the cool pagan shit added, and strong sense of national and racial identity.

>the Nazi Minister for Church Affairs, explained "Positive Christianity" as not "dependent upon the Apostle's Creed", nor in "faith in Christ as the son of God", upon which Christianity relied, but rather, as being represented by the Nazi Party: "The Fuehrer is the herald of a new revelation", he said
>>
He at least pretended to be Christian, whether he believed it or not is hard to know.
>>
>>66675598
>despised Christianity
No, he did not. He believed modern Christianity was too meek and cowardly. He tried to create a new philosophical approach to Christianity called Positivism.

I don't know why you want to believe he hated it. He just saw it as an imperfect way of life because it did not instill courage and praised victimhood. Do you think he loved Mohammed? He just preferred that total war and victory was part of its doctrine.

By all accounts, he had no strong emotions toward religions. Like Napoleon, he just saw them as useful.

>religious observance stops where it starts being inconvenient.

This is especially true of politicians who's religious observance is often part of their carefully crafted public image.

hitler was born an atheist
>>
he hated the jews. so he was an actual christian.
>>
>>66675284
Hitler was most definitely monotheist as he believed himself to be chosen by God through providence to lead the German people to victory. He however had a disdain for organized religion and Christianity in particular which clashed with his views of a racial struggle for the survival of the fittest.
>>
He was a Jew, sent by the Illuminati to help create Israel.

Look up Positive Christianity.

Basically, he wanted to spread in the Reich a Christianity with all the good part but pruned of the pussy ass bitch ones (like be meek, show the other cheek, etc.).

This.

From what we know, he wasn't a religious man.
We will never know if he believed in god or not but we can be fairly certain that he wasn't a Christian or a follower of any other religion. He even disliked Christianity for its peaceful nature.
But he was also not a pagan/cultist like Himmler, he even belittled him a bit for it.

That being said he saw that christianity was deeply rooted into the german society (or better was deeply rooted) and so it wasn't up to discussion to abolish it. Instead his plan was to transform it like the two americans mentioned it.

Nationalsocialism isn't a atheist movement. The concept of spirituality is a very important part of a peoples history and tradition as well as an important part of their common bond and identity. Even atheists (like probably Hitler) have to acknowledge this.

He never renounced his faith.
Nor was he excommunicated (though that might of been because of Mussolini)
So yeah, technically he's still a Catholic.
