Personally i believe mythical "4 year age difference" isnt applicable anymore once both people in the relationship have reached 17 already. After that you are pretty much an adult.

The ideal age-gap is about 10-12 years. Should be when a man is going to have a daughter he arranges with a man who has a son of an appropriate for them to be married a dozen or so years hence. That way she'll grow up around him and she'll never consider another.

no it isn't, people used to die aged 27 and be considered to have lived a good life
There used to be a much smaller age distribution
Personally I believe in 10 age difference (being 16 so 15 or 17 is ok; or being 34 so anyone with in 31 to 37 is ok)
