I work in Data Mining near Munich. Despite the overall demographics, my office is 90% Germans, with surnames like Berger or Schmidt. The exceptions are an US-American intern (f), a Spaniard (m) and - you guessed it - an Indian.

In gaming you tend to get a lot of whites and asians, and the occasional latino. Most of the women who work there do art and it's working pretty ok. The problems come when HR wants mandatory diversity and they start hiring people based on skin colour and how funny their names are. There was this black guy who got hired for being black but he got fired pretty fast for being useless in a team, and there was this jewish guy who got fired for sexual harassment. I'm not going to name the company this happened it. They're heavily invested in 4chan's /v/.
