Trump plays to win. This is the primary, he needs to get the 47% of people that will vote Republican no matter who the nominee is. Once he has that in his pocket, then it's time for the general election, and he will still play to win, he'll drop the race stuff, admit that it was a necessary part of the political game, and focus on the issues that people actually wanted fixed (and that "politicians" never talk about). He'll restore legitimacy to a government that has lacked it for 15 years.

It's way too late now apologising, you're all just as responsible for the formation of Godzilla. Not sure what you expected to happen after having been so condescending, arrogant, hostile towards the average white working class American for so long. You stomped on them time and time again, you laughed at them, you mocked them, you sneered and when they complained you simply ignored, silenced them.
Between the Clintons, Bushes, Obamas you've now gone and unleashed a force of nature that's going to be next to impossible to stop and deep down you know it, that's why some of you are panicking and it's no wonder you're frightened, you're right to be frightened because something has awoken.
Trump is the beginning not the end of this journey. Furthermore, the scale of the "Trump" phenomenon goes way beyond America's shores. You can see an anti-liberal trend rising from the deep across the Atlantic from the UK through Europe and beyond. Tens of millions of citizens feel threatened, possibly hundreds of millions. They either have, or are in the process of reverting back towards a more authoritarian primeval world order to deal with perceived, real threats.

This is what happens when you continually shove your political position down people's throats and fail to listen, empathise with those you consider different or insignificant. Sooner or later they lash back with a vengeance. Shaming with constant labels, accusations of racism, xenophobia, nationalism only fuels anger, hatred, hostility, thus having the very opposite effect of that which was intended. Political correctness is disintegrating as the real economy disintegrates. Trump therefore, is nothing more than an echo-chamber resonating with the unprotected in society. In the movie Godzilla, the Japanese scientist warns the Naval commander that "nature has an order, a power to restore balance". The beasts were let loose long ago, now Godzilla is rising from the dark depths to meet them head on in battle. You're either with Godzilla, you're with the beasts, or you're an innocent bystander caught in the cross fire. Those innocents in all this should go hide or something because from where I see things; brothers, sisters, it don't look good.
You were warned about this time and time again, but you ignored the lessons of history. My old man used to say to me, "son, if you don't know where you've come from, you don't know where you're going. Ideals are peaceful, history is violent, history repeats" and now history is repeating.
I hope for the sake of humanity what I see so clearly ahead of us doesn't materialise, or if it has already, it doesn't metastacize further.
