>>
>>66503311

>>
A multitude of reason, but firstly...

I don't wish to live a mother fucking nanny state.

>Millions of Americans are paying much more for health care because of Obamacare.

>Millions of Americans have LOST their health care plans because of the law.

>The Obamacare website costs more than Facebook and it doesn't work.

>Obamacare is a terrible deal for young Americans.

Taxes working people to give kickbacks to insurance companies without actually helping anyone

I'm tired of mansplaining the whole thing. It's in the archives multiple times.

Government being able to force people to buy products from private enterprise.
>>
Before Obamacare

>work 50-60 hours a week and get overtime
>making around 1,800 a month on 9 an hour
>easily covers all expenses and gives me enough to cover insurance np

After Obamacare
>more employees hired
>only will schedule me for 30 hours a week and even still get called off, sometimes only get 16 a week
>only making about 800 a month now

Thanks Obamacare.
>>
The mandate for me as well.

"Hello there, I am selling antique tables for $1,300. Would you like to buy one?"
"No? Okay, that will be $1,700."

You're literally being charged money to NOT buy a product.
>>
>>66503311

there are a lot of reasons to oppose

individual mandate for private insurance

charging young people more, when the disparity between generations is already at record levels

charging men more than women

contributing to an already inflated and unsustainable system and debt

but, all that said, I'm going to tell you why it's actually a good program;

it stimulates jobs in an economy that is in terrible shape (look at the workforce participation rate).

it does actually help some people who were being left in the cold before (see pre-existing conditions)

and most importantly, long-term sustainability is not important since ww3 is coming soon. there is no long term. short term it expands a system that will be necessary to deal with man-made pandemics and chemical warfare we'll soon be dealing with. it won't be enough, but some additional help is better than nothing;

It's literally just one big fat check for insurance companies to make even more money ripping us all off. Not even liberals should be in favor of this piece of shit legislation.
>>
Everyone should oppose Obamacare. It's the worst of private and government healthcare combined with none of the benefits. It's a government mandate to purchase private healthcare so not only are you forced to have it, but you're forced to do business with private enterprise.

Back in the Sicko era of the America Healthcare debate, the entire narrative was framed around private health insurance denying coverage to people with pre-existing conditions, deliberately so by the left, who thought Americans would sympathize more with people who could afford health insurance but weren't offered it than poorfags who couldn't afford it. So that's the problem Obamacare was entirely designed to fix, where private health insurance made a tradeoff where they would be forced to accept people with pre-existing conditions on the condition that EVERYONE had to do business with them.

Except that's not what anyone really cared about, it was a foot in the door strategy to get real single-payer government healthcare that really didn't go anywhere and now we're stuck with it. It's kind of like weedfags who pretend to care about medical marijuana, and sure, there are some people who could use it but the real reason the vast majority of people pretend to gice a shit about the medical marijuana issue is to get the foot in the door for full on weed legalization.

Because it doesn't have Trump's name on it. Guarantee most Trump supporters would support it if it was Trump who came up with it. Guarantee. That's not to say I support it.

>not having insurance illegal making you pay money for not having it.prices are no different than before filled with lies about how cheap it is

this especially when you're paying the fine because you cant afford actual insurance for yourself so you're paying for other people to have it

The individual mandate is a moral evil.

Its always been illegal for a doctor to let someone die because they cant pay there are no people dying in the streets (at least not a lot of people), and if someone saves your life you owe them your life and if not that then pay the bill its the least you can do

Mandatory insurance made rates skyrocket for companies that offer benefits. Some businesses cut hours to avoid having to give benefits, some cut employees entirely, and some have to just bite the bullet and take the government assisted price hikes.

because some nigger made it

I have a plan through Healthcare.gov. The site fucking sucks. It was down for almost an entire month and it still can't handle the loads. Anytime an enrollment period comes up, you have to try and log in on off-peak hours. They spent like $2 billion dollars on that piece of shit and the company they initially let start the project wasn't even familiar in that aspect of software development. They then try to develop it with Waterfall model, which is pretty goddamn stupid on something the requirements keep changing. When other groups stepped in to help, all of them couldn't do anything because of stupid government bureaucracy. When it 'launched' they didn't even have any testing tools to see what the site was doing. They didn't even know what their availability was until someone wrote the tools 3 weeks later.

Aside from the site, I have the choice between like 3 plans and they fucking change every goddamn year. I've switched providers every year because the plan changed and the next offering was stupid expensive. The coverage is pathetic. My out of pocket expenses are enough to fuck my world up if something happens.

Basically, it sucks.
>>
>>66507285

you know you don't have to get a plan from there right
>>
>>66507372
Yes, I know. Just makes my life easier switching providers each year.
>>
What are the positives?
>>
>>66507916
None, just cheaper clinical bills but not worth the insurance price if you rarely get sick.
>>
>>66507285
It was outsourced to Canada. Of course it sucks.
>>
Obamacare is the worse. Forcing you to have healthcare, that is too expensive and doesn't cover shit. While penalizing you for not having it when you can't afford it.

The "affordable" part is a scam. Only a select few companies are allowed on the healthcare market. They're not allowed to compete across statelines. So even if Lousiana might have a cheaper plan than Texas, you're unable to pay Lousiana prices for the same coverage. Which encourages price hikes because they have a captive market.

He lied about being able to keep your doctor, and keep your plan. Which turned out to be a lie, because you're unable to keep your plan if it doesn't meet the very high requirements. Like you have to be covered for HPV, ovary cancer, breast cancer, despite being male. It was a one size fits all type approach. So if your old plan didn't have all the mandatory coverages, it was invalidated. Which means you have to get insurance through Obamacare's website.

The website is a complete joke. Most the states rely on the government instead making their own market. So you have a boggle down of the servers. Who thought requiring millions of people to access a website in short period of time was good idea? The heavy load means it's slow on a good day, and unavailable on an average day.

Medicare was suppose to cover a gap which a lot of American fall into. They're too poor to afford insurance from the government. Yet make too much to be on medicare. Most states refused to expand the program, leaving many without insurance or insurance that they can't afford.

Lastly it does nothing for outrageous cost of medicine and hospital fees. Insurance frequently doesn't cover medicine, or if they do they only cover part of it. Hospital bills are still nuts, getting a broke arm fix will run you like $2,000 out of $5,000. It also encourages hospitals to accept only certain insurances. So you have to play hopscotch with hospitals to find one that will accept your insurance.

>So if your old plan didn't have all the mandatory coverages, it was invalidated. Which means you have to get insurance through Obamacare's website.

This is a lie you wont get fined for old plans grandfathered plans are good to go.

The other points I agree with and obama care is fucking atrocious I would know I worked with a call center that helped people with that horrible program.

I want to know how the fuck $300 a mouth is affordable.
