This. I'm a retail manager and very frequently have grown men and women's parents calling my personal number to explain why they won't be coming to work. Nobody has any drive or want. They're happy to push buttons on a register for pennies, but offer them mid teens to throw freight in the stockroom and they back down quick.

For instance, here in Spain the minimum social security monthly quota if you're self-employed it's almost 300€ (taxes go apart); which means that you must pay 300€ in a bad month in which you actually have losses and don't earn a dime for yourself. In the meantime, my grandpa retired at 61 and gets a 1900€/month pension after a life of shitty jobs while young people feel "lucky" when they get a 900€/month (pre-taxes) job since we have a 23% unemployment rate.

They enjoyed their free housing provided by the government, guaranteed job, almost free gas, heating, electricity, early retirement at 55 and generally easy life. Well excuse me, I try to save every cent to pay taxes (your fucking retirement) and you still shit on me that I can't afford my own home.

I'm a millenial business owner in the third year of operation. I love my generation. I make my money convincing my demographic to go to your Bosses store to spend their income, and they do it. They're shallow, predictable, and loose with their cash. Then your Boss gives me a cut, (much more than he's ever bestowed on you at any given time).
I love being that anomaly you can't explain. I put in anywhere from 30-60 hours a week, but come and go into My office as I please. Fact: I've got more drive and want in me than the most dedicated, enthusiastic, hard-working retail "manager" ever given the privilege of employment. Why? Because while you're bitching about your new uniform or how you can't go on break until Wanda gets back and she's taking fooooooreeeeeverrrr, I answer to no one, and I do it profitably.
You and the rest of the serfs ITT who want to talk shit about millenials, go for it. You're not wrong. But every other generation was garbage as well, until they were relegated to history and the generations after them remember them fondly if for nothing more than the fact that there's still a world left to inhabit. I'll say this, though: #millenials are fat and ripe, and that's reason enough to love them over every other dead and gone generation before them.
At the end of the day, every generation has people like me. And people like you. And one of us will define it, and it won't be the people like you.
