Comedian Sherrod Small (who is not conservative, but has appeared on Red Eye many times) says it's because Fox News and other conservative outlets won't pay comedians who appear on the panels or do sets.
Conservative comedians end up having to give up and get regular jobs because of the conservative media's unwillingness to pay for talent.
Because their's nothing funny about a 100% proven to work ideology.
Before the rise of SJWs it was hard to make fun of liberals because they truly had the moral high ground and conservatism at that point was muh capitalism and muh war and freedom (thanks to the bush family)
Today though the new left is a goldmine of comedy and internet "personalities" that may be called conservatives are making jokes and having fun. You could say /pol/ is full of conservative comedians.

you're not looking at it from a biological perspective. all laughter is a reaction to escalation and deescalation (situations where you are nervous then not anymore). laughter is meant to ease the come down from adrenaline after you panic ("getting nervous").

to prove this, have you ever laughed because a non-event happened? no, laughter is always in response to something that is exciting or "disruptive" more generally, a sudden change in awareness of expectations (irony), "phew" moments (almost got hit by a car, someone just died) all are sudden changes in events. that's why you don't laugh when you're depressed or bored.
