Kim Jong in makes me Angry.

Here he had a chance to change North Korea for the better when he took power. He studied in London so he knew what the real world was and should look like.

But no he keeps on with his dad's shit show. He could've joined with South Korea and lived a nice life knowing that he saved tens of millions of people from a shit life. He would have been a world wide hero.

Even if his generals wouldn't have let him he could've found a way to do it.

Why
>>
>>66473482
He is a communist, that's why.
>>
>>66473482
It's not his fault. Blame South Korea for being starcraft playing assholes
>>
>>66473482
He is a puppet he has no power

>Expecting a Kim to give up power in North Korea.

How idealistic are you?

What does he do wrong? I thought he just hung out with Dennis Rodman, was worshipped by scared citizens and probably lives a comfy NEET life most of the days.

>he's a puppet

Problem is, even if the Kims left or went nice, North Korea is limited in the amount of resources and management they can do to feed, clothe, house, et cetera everyone in the country.

Not to mention foreign issues. There's a reason that geo-politics dictate that both Koreas are in the position they are now. Not China, not Russia, not Japan, nor the U.S. want a unified Korea. Too many geopolitical risks in the future.

North Korea sucks... but like many sucky things in life, there is sometimes nothing that can be done about it.

>He studied in London
could I get source on that one?
I know that he went to school in Switzerland but never heard of that one
>>
>>66473482
you remind me of a particular Toronto Sun comments poster who was absolutely convinced Kim Jong-Un was some sort of secret reformer just because he spent a year or two as a friendless, reclusive shut in in some boarding school in yurop. how naive are you?

No, he didn't He's a fucking puppet for the military.

>North Korea is limited in the amount of resources

North Korea has over $6 trillion worth of rare minerals.

North Korea's biggest economic issue is international sanctions.

>Not China, not Russia, not Japan, nor the U.S. want a unified Korea

This is true. A united Korea would economically cripple surrounding regions. The lower labor cost of the north with the large natural resource reserves (Which other Asian countries lack) combined with the superior tech of the south would make it an international superpower whose GDP would rival the US and China despite having only a fraction of their population.

this is what leftists do you idiot
>>
>>66474453

I'm sure they do. They can't mine them all by themselves though, given the material, machinery, and human cost of doing so.

International sanctions are indeed a huge issue. Without them, North Korea would have more wealth. But with them, little is capable, and the wealthy elite (Kims and such) consolidate what they have. We do the same things.

Actually, everything in your post is correct. I just wanted to clarify how difficult the situation is. It is lose-lose for N. Korea no matter what they do.

Kim Jong Un was born holding a tiger by the tail.
He can't just let go even if he wants to.

leftists are corrupt liberty hating faggots.

Also China would kill him quicker than you can say " SUM TING WONG" if he wants to reunite korea under democracy.

He tries his best but Socialist Korea is perpetually subject to incessant threats, provocations, and sanctions from the USA and it's gang of cronies. Just this week, the Philippines impounded a DPRK cargo ship under the new round of sanctions. The ship was carrying food supplies bound for Socialist Korea.

The independent right and interests of a nation are by no means defended spontaneously. They can be guaranteed only by powerful arms of a nation itself. In the world today national sovereignty and dignity can hardly be thinkable independent of military might. Countries like Libya and Iraq serve as stark reminders that Socialist Korea's right to exist must be safeguarded my nuclear arms. Nuclear arms safeguard peace, socialism and the people's happy life.

To wield a sword if the enemy approaches with a dagger, to face the enemy with a gun if he takes out a rifle - this is Kim Jong Un's offensive spirit, and victorious faith and courage that is precisely the source of the Korean people's pride and indomitability to get through any ordeals undauntedly.

>being this ignorant of geo-politics and authoritarian power chains
Lurk moar.
>>

It's actually why I don't think the 2 Koreas will ever unite. We might as well just consider them 2 separate countries forever.
The current world powers would never allow something like that to happen.
North Korea's lowest average income in the world would cause a huge shift in manufacturing jobs from China, SE Asia, India, and other manufacturing to North Korea, giving a united Korea an international monopoly in manufacturing.

The moment Korea unites, the surrounding countries will enter into a long and possibly permanent depression.
>>
>>66474724

Agreed. Every piece of literature I've studied just seems to give weight to reasons why they will never unite. The only exception I could think of is if other countries in the region go out of power, and foreign intervention via conflict or something moves to replace that vacuum with Korea. Also, the economic stuff you mentioned is a huge factor too. We already see bits of that practice in the historic Kaesong Industrial Area, where wealthy companies in the South were taking advantage of cheap Northern labor.

The answer is,
GIT GUD FAGGOT
>>
>>66476515

I try and think in terms of compassion for human beings that I don't agree with, and those I do not share the same beliefs in. Nationality is important and I don't believe everyone should be mashed together, but that North Korean is just as human as this warm-blooded American.
