Did globalism destroy humanity's hopes of space exploration?

It seems like we got the most shit done when the US and the Russians were trying to 1up each other during the cold war. Now NASA spends more time trying to diversify their astronauts rather on research. : /

People in this country, including politicians, used to be focus on joining together and competing against the USSR. Now everyone is at each other's throat. Could you imagine having a debate like the last republican primary debate in the 60's?

Sry comrade, we lost. Now space will be discovered only when it gets proficent e.g. never.

I read that article about buzz aldrin reaching out to Trump to bring back NASA funding

Hopefully we can get things back on track
>>
I watched a lecture with the current Nasa admin who said that even with the current NASA budget we could pay for a manned Mars mission within 2 years.

The problem is all the funding gets politicized and pork-barreled with congressmen refusing to approve of anything that doesn't create jobs in their state resulting in a strung out and totally inefficient use of resources.

NASA is a huge waste of taxpayer dollars that could be going to rounding up jews and niggers into camps you fucking libcuck.
>>

I think you might be onto something here.. I also think part of it is we know how vast the universe is and how much technological advancement and time to even make a dent in exploration would take. Maybe that's demoralizing?

Here's to hoping western nations unite in a conflict against Islam bringing peace, then we can go back to dick measuring against the Russians.

NASA is one of the few government agencies that produce more than it spends, actually
>>
>>66469728

Yeah that's just fucking wrong.

https://spinoff.nasa.gov/pdf/AIAA%202011%20Quantifying%20Spinoff%20Benefits.pdf

Basically it says for every dollar invested into NASA you get about $7 return from it's research and development on new technologies.

I think that maybe nationalism, like capitalism, has a push to propel countries to try to compete with each other and find completely new technological ideas, but the globalist space program we have now has stalled this because it lacks this incentive to out perform other nations

Competition breeds greatness. Globalism breeds British men who are proud of their ability to stand in line , American men who have no desire for liberty, and Russian men who drink themselves to death.

Remember the importance of competition.

This, we need to get back to it

Interesting.. I was reading that the most efficient spending a government can do is infrastructure, this might beat it though.

I would honestly cry

If you look it up you'll find that a lot of modern day tech came from or had large roots in the research of space programs, its extremely profitable

Have you ever dated a female engineer? Seriously, don't, they're weird as fuck.

its the JPL in California, not mission control but this would make sense there

I have serious doubts that we ever went to the moon at all.
>>
>>66475091
Well its not exactly the hardest thing to do by todays standards

Even back then it was pretty easy to understand how the missions worked with physics, engineering, and math. Sure it would have also been a walk in the park to fake it but with all of the solid evidence we have today (example: shine a powerful laser at the moon and it will reflect because of the mirrors that we put there) its pretty safe to say it happened. Plus why act like one of your country's greatest achievements was a hoax?
