/pol/ I'd like to have an honest discussion as to why Black America is refusing to vote for Bernie Sanders.
I think the sad reality is that this is an issue about race, just as it always is. It's really disappointing that during a strong movement like #blacklivesmatter that Black Americans are displaying their own racism without any repercussion from news outlets.
TL;DR: Black America refuses to vote for a white Jewish man. Why? Racism.

Respect plays a big part of it with black people. He just lets BLM toolboxes walk over him.
1. Sanders' campaign is overwhelmingly made up of whites telling blacks what is good for them. It's actually quite condescending and makes black liberals want to support Hillary out of spite.
2. Bill Clinton was "the first black president." A vote for Hillary is a vote for Bill.
3. Hillary's remarks about black criminals being "super predators" may have seemed racist, but many blacks agreed with the sentiment. People call blacks thugs now, but back in the late 80s through the 90s, gangland shootings were a monstrous plague on urban communities. Kids even as young as 14 were cold-blooded killers.
4. Older blacks, i.e. the ones who vote, tend towards conservative liberals. Sanders is too extreme and too anti-establishment for them.
5. Sanders hesitated to support BLM early in his campaign. Hillary didn't. Sanders is about putting economic justice above racial and gender justice. Hillary's isn't. Sanders campaigns on his belief that the primary form of systematic oppression in the country isn't white on black or male on female, but rich on poor. Hillary's campaign is the opposite.
1. Black people are far more loyal to the Democratic party machine than white and Latino Democrats.
2. Young black people are more likely to vote for Bernie, but the black vote skews old.
3. The average Black Democrat is a culturally conservative 60 year old church-going grandmother, she's not voting for a Socialist Jew
4. Bernie is from a 98% white state, most blacks had never heard of him. Everybody has heard of Hillary.

Tl;Dr: Probably the biggest reason is that Bernie lacks credentials in our community. Relying entirely on something you did in the 60's is something Jesse Jackson wouldn't even do. Next, equally big reason: The Clinton's are family. They were the first presidents and major politicians to stand with us and pay attention to us. They weren't perfect, but their solidarity with us goes a long way." (5/5)
