Not really, this change is much more permanent, Germans were pretty smart and despite the fact that the Western Roman empire was competely destroyed as a political entity, their laws, religion, genetics and language lived on after Rome's fall. When the muslims are done with us there will be nothing left of the past. They actually couldn't maintain much of the stuff the Romans left behind, it took centuries and even a millennium to figure out again some of the stuff they created. Think of the Africans, Europeans left lots of infrastructure that has been mostly crumbling down in the past 50 years because they lack the skilled workforce to take care of it.

Right-wing politics are inherently against any kind of real alliance. So long as Europe keeps pulling right they'll end up breaking up into the same kind of bickering little polities they have been for most of recorded history. Immigration won't hurt a nation, it certainly didn't hurt the US, but choosing national pride over international union certainly will. Europe is strongly together than it could ever be apart, hope they realize that before it's too late.

It's the circle of empires. European dominance started when Spain colonized Central and South America. The extreme wealth and a culture based on reason and trial-and-error, enabled Europe to dominate the globe. America and Africa were backward. Asia was completely stagnant. The middle-east was a threat up until after the siege of Vienna, then it started to fall apart at the seams, leaving an enormous power vacuum with Ottoman authority gone.
While the world was subjugated under Europe, so did humanity itself prosper. Even modern day Africans and Indians say they miss western rule since their firm-handed rule and adherence to the superior system of western morals, washes away barbaric customs such as the caste system or witch-doctoring.
The destruction of western culture will be complete with a muslim takeover, since muslims ALWAYS destroy the culture of the countries they conquer. It will set the world back over a thousand years. Sure we will still have guns and tv's, but morality and culture will be 7th century.
I guess the hope lies with East Asia. China takes no shit when it comes to muslims or anyone it percieves as a threat. China have learned the lessons of their former masters by rote, and will soon supplant the western world as the world's superpower.
