Introduce a 2year service, can be military or conscious objector social service, everyone who joins can vote and stand or election, those who do not serve shall be called "sheeply" and have no say whatsoever in politics.

Profit.
>>
>only welfare queens can vote

Yeah, no.
>>
>>66415258
Only people who served should be citizens.
>>
Good in theory, but it would only work if the American military wasn't a puppet for Israel.
>>
>>66415258
You can still have total idiots.

There needs to be a mandatory education test.

GREAT IDEA OP, then all the niggers, spicks and white trash will be running the country.

The military is full of low-IQ people.

>>66415258

I'm in the Air Force and I can tell you that you wouldn't want the majority of these idiots choosing your demise.

Only white landowning males should be allowed to vote, like the constitution intended.

That is not the point. The point is that only people who did stuff for their country should vote and stand for elections.
>>
No taxation, without representation.

When you vote you essentially put forth your view as to how the collective resources should be allocated (taxation money).

You should not get a say unless you are contributing into the pool of communal resources.

If you do not pay tax, you should not be able to vote. The only exceptions should be people physically unable to work. If you are mentally unable to work you should not be able to vote.

What about those born with disabilities?

what about greencard holders and/or ex-cons?
>>
>>66415958
Everyone pays takes. Look at excise and sales taxes. Income tax is just one part of the overall tax revenue.

So that is a nonsensical idea.
>>
>>66415289
What's the difference between being in the army during peacetime and being in the army during wartime? During wartime you're being fucked from the front
>>
>>66415444
But if it was, in reality you'd spend your time (or your life) fighting inane wars for political players
>>
>>66415776
Well, it is the largest economy and most powerful military force
>>
>>66416180
>for political players
only volunteers would fight wars and only veterans would be in charge of those political powers.

nothing keeps civilians from being cheerful civilians in Heinleins Utopia (except for Bugs and Skinnies of course)
>>
>>66415958
But those who cannot vote are still bound by the laws of society. That is not fair.
>>
>>66415258

There are too many problems with that working with the US military.

American soldiers are well-paid welfare queens, people don't do it primarily because they want to serve their country anymore, they do it primarily because it is one of the best-paying jobs one can get with a high school diploma or GED, with the best possible lifetime benefits.

At this point going into the workforce instead of the military after high school is the braver, more dangerous choice. I don't want these retarded entitled mercenaries controlling my nation's fate.
>>
You got rid of conscription because it was intervening with your imperialistic foreign policy. If you reintroduce it you'll have massive number of troops but the voters won't let you use them.

How about no.
>>
>>66416226
Not because of big brains, pal. We get shit done by breaking rules.
>>
>>66415258
Lol. If we retain current benefits, forcing people to serve in the military would be functionally identical to becoming a complete welfare state.

>join military
>wash rocks
>be 2 miles away from gunshots on 3 occasions
>get a free education and a lifetime of health benefits
>>
>>66416772

Lifetime of health benefits is only true if the VA says you were injured during your enlistment.
>>
>>66416967

I'm not saying that there aren't legitimate cases of PTSD and anxiety, but couldn't a vet fake these conditions and be clear forever.
