At least partly, but probably not in any significant amount. I don't see why anybody would choose to be gay, I'm heterosexual and the though of being sexually intimate with a man is revolting to me. There's no way somebody would choose this unless they were at least partly inclined that way. I think it's partly genetic, probably some epigenetic, mostly nurture, and then maybe a dab of choice in there too.

I wouldn't say a lot of trouble but I've had debates with gay people who get annoyed at my view that it's not entirely genetic. It's not even hard to find evidence that it's not genetic. I know a pair of identical twins, one of which is gay and one is not. I've seen enough to know that they are both what they claim they are. Given that this is the case there's no way that it's entirely genetic.
