Supposedly carbon isn't the only greenhouse gas (methane comes out of their asses) and they probably take in to account the resources that is used to produce animal feed and the transportation.

Methane is an efficient fuel source.
And the quantities are about 0.003% of the total volumes of these gasses that are already present in the atmosphere.
Not to mention, that there's been a warming trend that started way back some 12000 years ago at the end of the last ice age.

What that study says is that SOME vegetables are more harmful to the environment (based on water and CO2-footprint) than meats. The trick is they used a calorie as a basis for comparison, which is super retarded. In effect they're saying that three grocery bags of lettuce require more water/CO2 to produce than 15 grams of bacon. No one uses three grocery bags of lettuce to replace a quarter strip of bacon with their eggs. Can you imagine?
The study mentions USDA-approved vegetarian diets but those aren't even the diets they used in the research. It is probably the most biased """"""""adacemic"""""""" paper I've ever seen.
The kicker? Even with all their wrong methodologies and deceit, they couldn't even reproduce their results for vegetables in the E.U. THAT'S how wrong they are.

no its the only proper way of looking at the problem.
we feed animals with plants that are high in calories and we get meat thats also high in calories.
vegetarians meanwhile eat lots of plantlife that barely has any nutrition at all so they need a lot more work and land to be sustained which results in a very high CO2 footprint.
so if you want to live a CO2 friendly life the only way is basically eating what pigs and cows in agriculture get to eat right now and nothing else.
