>>
>>66368953
His mother was a naturalized Canadian citizen living in Canada. He is not eligible.
>>
>>66368559
At least she'll have a stroke while in office and we'll end up with uh, who is speculated to be her running m8?
>>
>>66369108
His mother was born in Delaware, bro.
>>
>>66368392
What are the requirements listed in the Constitution to be eligible?
- 35 or older.
- Resided in the US at least 14 years.
- Natural born US citizen
He meets all three requirements.
>>

>Natural born US citizen
>from wiki
>Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada

How is he natural born if he was born in Canada?
>>
>>66369698
What is the law in regards to "natural born?" Is it only limited to born in the US?
>>
>>66368788
There's a lot of sitting and I'm guessing long hours which prevents working out (or at least prevents you having the will to do so).
>>
>>66369698
Natural born citizen means that at least one of his parents was born in the US.

The Constitution does not specifically empower Congress to make decisions in regards to naturalization and nationality?
>>
>>66369819
Born on US soil from my understanding, just someone that gets citizenship from birth meaning if you ever had to apply you can't be president.

You have to go back Ted
>>

Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution states: "No Person except a natural born Citizen ... shall be eligible to the Office of President." The original structure of the Constitution does suggest that natural born was meant to contain a geographic component of birth in the United States. The Inhabitant requirements for senators and representatives in Article I of the Constitution clearly were intended to be geographic. Since the qualifications stated for president contain no other obvious parallel geographic reference, it would seem the framers meant the natural born citizenship requirement for president to refer to those born actually in the United States

You did not answer the question.

Am I to understand from your refusal to answer the question that you recognize how weak your position is?

There's two parts to being fat, eating and not exercising, their job potentially explains the second and has nothing to do with the first unless you count comfort eating from stress.

Since you haven't responded any further I'll assume you have enough sense to know when to stop posting.

It seemed that you were cherry picking which parts of the Constitution and base it upon your misunderstanding of the "original structure." From The Venus case (1812) which is pretty close to the same period as the framing and ratification of the constitution.
>vil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives or indigenes are those born in the country of parents who are citizens. Society not being able to subsist and to perpetuate itself but by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights.
Jus sanguinis was not an unknown concept. Your belief that the Constitution only refers to jus soli is refuted by legal history.

As to the part about senators and representatives being geographic that is obvious. They are supposed to represent their specific state, or the bound geography within the state's borders. This argument is appositive to your claim.
>>
>>66370361
Oh yes. I just remembered another fun fact. Were you aware that in some cases jus sanguinis overrules jus soli? That in certain circumstances the children born to foreigners on US soil are still not US citizens?
