I think the Internet as a whole does this in one way or another. If not games it's porn (which is arguably the single worst one). If not porn it's 4chan and image boards. Ive honestly had the most trouble staying off of the chans than anything else.
But e '' sports'' is a whole other level because it's a surrogate for getting a real job or having any real skills at all. I play some games but don't see it as my lifestyle and also study hard in school and go outside. I'd hate myself for even considering earning a living from gaming

Even if we disregard the health and fitness aspect, many people treat e sports like they'll make it big and play for a team and make their living like that, just like most lads do with football. Except football is actually easier to succeed in. Even then I can't tell you how many people grew up thinking their gonna play for Manchester United and ended up being 32 and washing dishes or laying bricks. Even my own age group (18-20), most, not all, of the footballers are scum who won't go very far in life. E sports is arguably worse for this. Though you could argue that the online "athletes" have intelligence enough to go somewhere else atleast

Hell yeah it is (yes I am a hypocrite). I deleted my facegoy and all social media accounts* back in 2012 and I've gone 4 years without them, and I haven't noticed many adverse affects from it IRL.
I have become a whole lot more withdrawn and antisocial, but I believe that coincided/coincides with me being NEET. I did make an instagram and a snapchat last year to keep in touch with two friends IRL but I don't even post on it or use it except to private message those two guys

I wouldn't know because I'm legitimately autistic and I was like that before I even used the Internet. But I'm aware of it and practiced social skills to the point of appearing normal and retreated into academics as a teenager and just got a good STEM job.

I'm mostly just glad my parents at least pressured me to care about school and work and limited my game time as a kid and kept me away from WoW and the like.
I think though that a major killer of white birthrate are parents like mine who just never tell their kids that family is important at all. And just say a job and a house is all you need.
