Russia has to be on constant guard from the warhawks painting them as our modern cold war enemy to distract from every western nation being sold to China.

Russia's problems lie not only in corruption but also in objective socio-economic plane. Russia missed the latest industrial revolution which led to automation, accelerated globalisation, growth of the consumer market. Russians'mentality was fucked up by 70 years under communists. My main problem with Russia is continuation of soviet anti ethnic russian policy. Outsiders might think soviet union collapsed, but in reality same people who ran illegally created commieland still run modern illegally created "russian federation" with same mindset.
Government holds tight grip over information and monitors groups that might threaten current regime. Our opposition is nothing more than either clowns or openly anti-russian shills on paycheck(whether it's kremlin or outsider's paycheck is really irrelevant).
Nationalistic movements because of recent events in that separatist country are mostly either suppressed\jailed\shilled out or keep their heads low, nation is slowly replaced with shitskins from former SU asian republics.
How do we fix it? We can't now. There is no leader who would unite people for change.

Russian paranoia about getting attacked needs to be appeased before any greater quantity of money is directed to non-military related sectors. Meaning, Ukraine must be brought into the Russian sphere again. Entire Ukraine, they are the ultimate buffer zone. Causcaus and Central Asia are already secured and Baltic's are irrelevant.
