I don't know what debate some of you were watching, but Trump was asked a lot of questions he had NO answer for, and instead fumbled while trying to pivot to something else. At the end of the day, he simply was not prepared to endure attacks from both Rubio and Cruz. He came off very poorly on many of these questions, and like a bully otherwise. Hell, Cruz looked right at him and said "Take a breath, Donald. Count to ten."
He had a few decent answers here and there, but people will only remember the answers he couldn't give, because the media will replay his disastrous responses on a loop for the next several days.
I think Kasich probably helped himself the most. He even gave a gentlemanly attack on Trump at one point, which I don't think I've ever seen him do in a debate.
Rubio did pretty well, I think. He answered his questions well, and I think that the attacks he leveled at Trump were solid. He had the numbers and the logic and irrefutable data on his side, and Trump got caught in a lie or two, or was forced to say some shit that he REALLY didn't want to.
He also had a few funny lines. I laughed.
Cruz did REALLY well, I think. He attacked, but also gave the most complete answers when given. I really do trust Cruz the most to appoint the next Supreme Court Justice. I think he'd get an originalist in there.
I'm not sure if I'd say Rubio won or not. He did really well, and so did Cruz, and so did Kasich, and Trump did poorly. I'd say "Not-Trump" won this one.
BUT WILL IT MATTER?
