Is /pol/ just an evolution of the original Anonymous?

100% at this point

Gamer Gate is proof, as much as I hate to say it.
>>
/pol/ is the adult 4chan population who've been here for 7+ years, plus their underlings, plus the far right who uses this as a recruiting ground/content source

The original Anonymous was more about fucking shit up than anything else. For The Lulz guyz

4chan used to be called far left, now /pol/ has infected all the boards making it much more right.

we've gone backwards on the scale, lads
>>
Not really.

/pol/ is the people who thought the whole point of anonymous was to be edgy and contrarian. /pol/ was once a left wing board.
>>
>>66132409
so that's still essentially what /pol/ is, just the method has changed
>>
>>66132227
Spiritually, that may be true, but politically and individually, probably not. 4chan used to be very Leftist, but the Obama Administration created a new generation (not all of young people, more like a new wave) of alt-right internet culture.

Since being a Leftist isn't funny anymore, it died out. Leftism is now the staid, boring establishment. Right wing is becoming cool again.

/pol/ consists of oldfags who entered the real world, one day realized that they wanted to learn how the world around them works, got into politics and thought "oh wait, 4chan has a politics board."

There's a reason we tell people not to forget that they're here forever.
>>
>>66132409
You just made me realize it's ten years I've been lurking 4chan. Damn what am I doing with my life.
>>
>>66132803
4chan has mostly been nerdy libertarian or actual real libertarian.
The left has become ridiculously authoritarian other recent years
>>
/pol/ is /b/ lite...

/pol/ is for the old fags who enjoyed a less PC world and can't stand a media and culture saturated with diversity, rewarding mediocrity and celebrating whiners as victims.

That picture is wrong: everything that's bio-vegan-glutenfree costs at least twice the normal product.
>>
>>66133562
I said it before, I was libertarian until I realized I was part of a group that would be hunted down and slaughtered first when the fight between the reds and the blues really starts. Gotta choose the side with the most guns at this point.

Que eres homie?
>>
>>66132227

/pol/ became /b/.

/b/ became /reddit9gag/.
>>
>>66132227
I'd say that's accurate
Not as active though
at least outside active
>>
>>66133680
/b/ is pure cancer. It's just a boring cesspool of shit at this point. I still get some enjoyment out of browsing /pol/
>>
>>66133745
Lol 44 year old here and this Anon is
Spot on
>>
>>66132803
Is that chart implying that libertarianism (classical liberalism) is a moderate position?
>>
>>66132227
No that would the the SJW
>>
>>66133855
same here, I used to occasionally enjoy just lurking /b/ or /r9k/ hunting for white whale threads that were truly funny, but I can't be bothered to sift through all the shit anymore.

/pol/ is where it's at, and while there is lots of shitposting there's also a fair amount of decent discussion and lots of top quality jokes/banter.

It's not quite as bad elsewhere as it is in Britain though. Even socialist nuts in America like Sanders, who won't win the nomination, aren't as insane as Jeremy Corbyn.
>>
>>66132227
>Is /pol/ just an evolution of the original Anonymous?
Yes, this goes for both sites. /b/ is full of literal 13 year olds. Most people on here have been fully enriched with chan culture for years. "Anonymous" was never necessarily an organized group thus it inevitably fell in the hands of outsiders i.e. SJW/lefty faggots on social media. Anonymous is alive and well here at home.

Holy fuck this.
Remember when some ugly broad would squeal something in her pig voice and you could just laugh and say fuck off dyke?
Even at your job you could be like this.

The world is truly unnatural now.

Name all the memes /b/ has made this year

Now name all the memes /pol/ has made this year.

There lies your answer.

Pol is literally nothing. Why would any "lmao l33t hackorz" still be on the most popular imageboard on par with Tumblr except a bunch of autistic social rejects with "I'm special snowflake syndrome." Nobody that's worth a shit browses 4cuck except for bantz.

Anonymous is dead. Long live Anonymous.
Nowadays the Guy Fawkes masked edgelord has become just another politically oriented group, it got corrupted as it became mainstream. I guess that "anon", the green man in OP picture, is the real uncorrupted Anonymous of the past.
>>
>>66134651
There was no point in time where it was acceptable for such a inconsequential employee to insult a customer. The stupid "the customer is always right" slogan has been around for generations. Perhaps that is acceptable behavior in Australia, but here family values reign supreme.

/pol/ is virtually the only board left that still raids sites/polls/comments.

Really the only thing we got going and the closest thing to the original 'anonymous'.
>>
>>66134897
Why are you so hurt
>>
>>66133745
agree pol is oldfags from /b that grew up got jobs and realized 30% of their checks were going to niggers
>>
>>66134288
I think america is worse in some ways. You have a huge emphasis on identity politics in everything. All the women studies shit is all american, it exists at a much lesser extent in the uk, and when it does its just an emulation of you guys.
>>
>>66135075
it was co-opted by Reddit, that's quite obvious. Can't remember the specific moment when that happened though
>>
>>66135141
/b/ does, but they don't do anything that matters
just twitch and stupid shit like that
>>
>>66135212
>I think america is worse in some ways. You have a huge emphasis on identity politics in everything. All the women studies shit is all american
this has really only been the case since the late 2000s. Before then, feminists and queers were considered freaks by 90 percent of the population.

That /b/ twitch shit is just a bunch of kids that just discovered 4chan from "LE EBIN TWITCH RAIDS PRANKS GRIL CRIES ON CAM XD" videos on Youtube asking for a personal army.
>>
>>66135544
tru that
>>
>>66132409
This is as true as it gets. I'm a long time lurker. Started on /b/ at least 6 years ago until it was just trannys and cock rate threads. Fucking degenerates.

>>
>>66135732
I can't believe I'm saying this, but /b/ needs some content control. It's just become what all all great white metropolitan areas have become: infested with shit driving away all consistent users and content creators.

Seriously, I came to /pol/ from /b/ 2 years back after 3 years and never looked back
>>
>>66134148
>>66135008
look at these spring chickens i'm 74 and we used to trade kilroys like you trade pepes, the content and formatting may vary but memes are forever a universal constant you whippersnappers nothing ever actually changes
>>
>>66136257
/b/ was never good.
You just grew older. After 10 years passed for everyone: we were children, and now we grew, and left that childish place, so new children took our place. That's fine, really. It has always been this way. I think /pol/ is the same as /b/, just with a little more identity (we have our memes and shit) and with a slightly older userbase.
>>
>>66136400
FUCK YES THANK YOU NEBRASKA
I only need one more state for completion
>>
>>66136671
Definitely, but you can't deny that /b/ has just become increasingly shit over the years. It's been flooded by redditors and other outsiders and somehow became even more unoriginal and unconstructive.

Really, if you wanted to stop the cancer from spreading, just make every board except /a/, /b/, /v/, and possibly a couple other, unlisted.
>>
>>66136731
you're welcome anon this reminds me of when we used to send miniature flags to people around the world through a mail-order mongolian tupperware exchange catalog, 4chan literally started in the 1940s
>>
>>66135080
clearly you never worked in a french restaurant.
>>
>>66137482
kek, we do it allot faster now
>>
>>66137029
The problem with /b/ is not /b/, is that the whole mainstream internet stole from /b/ and sold /b/'s shit as gold.
Think to 9fag, facecuck, etc. They all use our stuff completely out of context. What happened next was that people who used to produce such crap then started to eat and digest the same shit over and over again, and dumping it into /b/, hence the dive in quality. It's no surprise that most new stuff comes from niche boards, or other chans (think about Gondola: it spawned on ylilauta's /int/, made by an Italian guy)
>>
>>66132227
No. The original Anonymous have become pro-pedophilia activists.
>>
>>66133134
>/pol/ was once a left wing board.

Yep... and then it grew up.
>>
>remember 4chins used to be lefty libertarian

why the call for white nationalism, neo-nazism, pro-corporation, self-interest defeatist mentality?

why is Obama considered Satan incarnate when he was dealt a HEAVY fucking blow by George W. Bush. Fuck, the man finished Bush's job with Osama Bin Laden. Not only that, but what the fuck do you do after the biggest recession since the 30's?
>>
>>66139013
>self-interest
>neo-nazism,
>pro-corporation
noooooooooo
all the other stuff was the product of super authoritarian feminazi's and other marxist jewry
>>
GDP's up, jobs are up, why the Obama hate? Because of socially left reform? If so, then where did all this bigotry stem from on 4chins? It's gotten rampant and is only increasing.
>>
>>66133427
>tfw nine

I would feel some form of shame about it, but, this still is the only real place you can actually have a proper discussion without someone getting assblasted about it and try to ruin you life over an opinion.
