Can Trump actually win this thing?

9,816,881-Republicans have voted in the primaries so far.

6,473,749 - Democrats have voted in the primaries so far.

>If only 1/2 those republicans show up to vote for Trump = 4,908,440
>If 3/4 of those democrats show up to vote for Hillary = 4,855,311

1:1 republicans win, but even when you look at the total for representation at the national polls the last 8 years, Trump still wins. Republicans win even if people show up in percents of 2008, but we all know blacks won't show up to vote for a white lady as much as they did for their Savior.

>>
The low turnout numbers for the democratic primaries are a good sign for the republicans and bad one for the dems, but you've got to remember that the group that decided presidential elections are independents, who make up about 1/3rd of the electorate

The minorities won't be turning out for an old white woman or senile old white commie.

It's gonna be a totally different ball game from 2008 and 2012 with Obama.

Keep in mind Democrats are stupid when it comes to voting and only ever show up for a presidential general election.

Yeah think again. Ask any black person that was around in the Clinton days and I guarantee you they would choose Bill over Barack. Black people love the Clintons and will vote hard for Hillary.

This was the 2008 elections. Democrats showed up almost 3:1 more than republicans overall. In 2016, republicans actually have more voters than democrats by a margin of 3 republicans for every 2 democrats.

What are the 16 states that have already voted? From what I understand, most of them are red states anyway, so more Republicans voting makes sense when it's in an area where most people are Republican anyway. But maybe I'm wrong. Anyone got the list? Thanks.
>>
Most Democrats already know the fix is in for Hillary so they don't even bother showing up to vote

yea, but look at the numbers. Over 4/5 of the independents have to go with democrats for them to win if the election were today. I only put 2 republican votes in for every 3 democrats, which is how it would look including independents, and Trump still wins. Is it actually possible for him to win? Think about it. The young voters won't show up for her in the regular election like they do for Sanders, unless he's the VP.
>>
i live in a swing state my family and neighbors are all getting bussed to vote for hillary clinton. its about 150 votes just from one neighborhood in florida. Hispanics are gonna turn florida blue.
>>
Not to mention Sanders is winning in states where voter turnout is high and Hillary is only winning in states where voter turnout has decreased considerably.

Basically Sanders could win the nom if his supporters would actually care enough to vote, and Hillary's success is fragile at best.
>>
>>66095603
Independents would sooner vote for John McAfee than they would Hillary, so unless the dems actually elect Glassberg how is this a problem?
>>
>>66096457
you sound like little white boi i can pick on
>>
>>66095137
many more people vote in a general election than in the primaries.
>>
>>66097371
no 8 were blue states, even the blue states where Obama won in 2008 and 2012; obama won 8 of the states that have voted. Obama won Iowa, Virginia, Minnesota, Mass, Vermont, NH, South Carolina, Nevada.

Most of the primaries have been in traditionally conservative states so far, and the ones that haven't have all been in states with low populations. Virginia's really the most notable exception; they've been blue for a while now but had a higher Republican turnout.

If the number of Republicans trump the number of Democrats in places like Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida, or even in traditionally blue states, then the Democrats can really start sweating.

Ok, cool, interesting. Thanks for the info, guys.
>>
>>66099495

Forgot to point out why I used that image; you can attribute 2 million of those three million votes to Texas and Tennessee alone.
>>
>>66099274
I know it's 3:2 so .75 to .5 is a good comparison. If I multiplied the votes instead of dividing, the numbers would be even more in favor of trump
>>66099495
NO, see >>66099417
>>
>>66099702
there were 9 million votes for republicans, not 3 million. yes, texas and tennessee are 35% of the total, not 66%
>>
>>66099808

>NO.

Well you got me there I suppose, but the fact of the matter is that the Democrats are still handily beating the Republicans in most of those states. Once again, Virginia is the glaring exception, with 30% higher Republican turnout, in a state that went for Obama twice. THIS is what the Democrats should be worried about.

Who cares if the Republicans get 3 million more votes in states like Tennessee and Texas, which are already locked in as red? It's the swing states that matter, and if the Republicans really start beating them there, the Democrats are in huge trouble.
>>
>>66099808
still doesn't work that way. many people who did vote, voted against trump (for another republican), but will be voting hillary or bernie (hillary).
>>
>>66100158

I was talking about the ~3 million lead that the Republicans have on Democrats nationally. 2 million of those come from Texas and Tennessee. Reading comprehension.
>>
>>66096372
The ones who are scared as fuck of Trump will turn out though
>>
democrats are showing up about a 1/3 less than they have the last 8 years
>>66100745
you think republicans are going to vote for a socialist or a communist?
>>66100908
you're still wrong. you're going to add 2/3 of 2 states? stupid, especially when you look at how they showed up in the past.
>>
>>66102124

>you're still wrong. you're going to add 2/3 of 2 states? stupid, especially when you look at how they showed up in the past.

In the picture I posted, Republicans beat Democrats in Texas by ~1.5 million votes, and in Tennessee by ~.5 million votes. 1.5 + .5 = 2. 2 million of 3 million votes that Republicans are currently leading Democrats by, you stupid fucking cuck.
>>
>>66099495

What were the numbers from the 2012 or 2008 primaries? I assume Republicans usually vote more in primaries.
>>
>>66102553
so, are you saying we should take away the 2 million and look at it then? that's what it looks like you're saying. that's what i was responding to. comprehension. if you're not saying that, then what's you're point?
>>
>>66103041
republicans have record high numbers, so far, while democrats are down by 25%

I'm saying we should look at things by a state-by-state view and not at a national view, because two highly conservative states make up 2/3 of the national lead that republicans currently hold, and because elections are decided by the electoral college, and not by popular vote. Practically all of my posts have included this information in one way or another.
>>
>>66103873
yea, but again, look at the numbers in those states compared to the last 8 years to get some perspective; don't just write it off.
>>
>>66103443
i hope so. i dont even like trump, but he may be the best option. i just want him to win because fuck you, thats why
