Violence in movies is typically shown as a means to a positive outcome. i.e. You kidnapped my daughter so now I have to use violence to get her back.
Violence is usually the last resort and is framed as a confirmation of firmly held values. Think of all the movies where the protagonist punches out the bad guy in one hit because the villian crossed finally a line.
In the media, sex/nudity is just a side action to bring in viewers. For the most part, it doesn't advance the plot. Its purpose is only to tease the basic desires of the audience.
