So I got into a heated discussion regarding the wage gap between men and women in the USA. So.... Are women ACTUALLY paid less than men for the same exact job?? Cuz I lead to believe not. Are there statistics out there?

Every stat you see that demonstrates wage inequality does not account for the increased time away from work that women take on average. If you correct for this you find negligible difference in pay. If you compare salary positions you literally find no difference between the sexes.

Men on average made (fake numbers) 100k/year b/c most are engineers, dangerous labourers, long-hour lawyers.

Women (made up numbers) make 77k b/c most are receptionists, PK teachers, admins, HR reps, etc.

Most of the gap actually comes down to raw hours worked. Women work fewer hours due to taking parental leave time or leaving their careers altogether.

The "wagegap" meme-plex is a way for some people to justify their lack of success in life. There is nowagegap, unless you fail to negotiate a high-enoughwage. Thewage-gap meme serves to perpetuate falsehoods that only negatively impact the gender equality movement. That 7 cents is real, but a study conducted by one professor showed that women aren't as vocal compared to men when it comes to negotiating their salary and asking for raises. He conducted the study when a bunch of female teaching aids at his university bitched to the Dean when they didn't get teaching positions but a male colleague did. The dean told them that none of them asked, but the male did.

And women dream up endless reasons to take time off, use all their sick days, vacations days, PTO, and then usually keep pushing it and use 'muh children' as an excuse to come in late, leave early, and never put in the overtime when all the guys are working 55+ hours a week while there's hardly a woman that ever gets overtime.
What's funny, is when you talk to them they're always telling you how they need the money and they're going to stay late or come in the weekends and then they do the exact opposite and put in 30 hours the next week.
