Has any politician been so thoroughly humiliated and had his career destroyed in such a short time as this man?

http://reason.com/blog/2016/03/02/the-sad-embarrassing-spectacle-of-chris

Such is the fate of all Trump shills.

Gary Hart

Press accuse him of cheating on his wife. He says "I've got nothing to hide, go ahead and follow me".

So they do, and snap pictures of him and his girlfriend on a boat called "monkey business"

Howard dean. Winning. Victory party. lets out a scream so strange his career ended that night.

He knows he's gambling. He sees the reality of our cartel government. He wants to do something. He too, has a lot to lose so he is rationally shaken by his new revolutionary stance.

He's one of the good guys now. His new stance may reward him greatly in the future.

>implying Trump will win
kek.

Myth #1 "Trump will win Democrats”
In every national poll, Trump loses more Republicans than he gains Democrats.

Myth #2 "Trump will win Indies”
1 poll says that, look at others:
MC -1
CNN -4
Fox -4
Suffolk +28
QPac -2
PPP +1
(margin vs Hillary w/ I's)

Myth #3 "Hillary is more disliked”
HRC favs are bad, but still better with base voters & any bloc generally considered a swing group.

Myth #4 "Trump will turn out his base"
Even with 100% turnout from non-college whites, he still loses
http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-swing-the-election/

Myth #5 “Trump will win over black voters”
He needs 25-30%. He had 8% before David Duke endorsement.

Myth #6 “Trump beat up his GOP opponents, will do same in general”
Hillary will spend at least 100x the amount spent vs Trump in primaries.

Myth #7 “Trump got free media”
Unlike the primaries, disproportionate share of media is almost meaningless in general. Both sides well known

He had no place in politics after le epic bridge closing meme and his epic fail at the presidential run. No way he was going to get reelected.

He's probably friends with Trump, and Trump promised him a position high up in the government if he wins the election or a good paying job in the Trump organization if he loses.

They are actually pretty politically aligned too so this isn't complete shilling on his part. Either way Christie was done in the Republican party and Trump is giving him a second chance.

Howard Dean was not shunned by his own party as a result of the scream. It was just silly, not degrading for him. He still had a successful career as the DNC chairman for a while and played an important role there. He was not a pariah.

Heck, even Gary Hart now has a comfy job as an ambassador under the Democrats these days.

Christie, on the other hand, is now even more hated in his own state. Papers are calling for him to resign and he might even face a recall vote. His has the lowest approval ratings of ANY governor in NJ history now.

You underestimate how much people hate Hillary. No sane moderate would vote for her. Trump is very reasonable in his beliefs. He had to turn up the crazy because he literally was fighting for his life against everything but the people, but once he wins the nomination and people realize he is sane and already has the approval of a large portion of the country, more will buy in.

Trump already proved money doesn't matter. I hope Shillary spends 100x more than Jeb, because people will hate her 100x more.

Trump already won. He kicked reason the curb. 0% sounds like 100% to him. If there's a mountain in his way, he'll tear it down. If there's no path, he'll make one with his two hands.

Wait. Hmmm... I can't think of what it's called when you use the trappings of your office to do something you otherwise wouldn't do in exchange for some personal benefit.

What's that called?

Dean engineered the capture on Congress in 2006 by his party and is loved by the base.
>>
>>66011887
>Trump is very reasonable in his beliefs
No, Hillary is the moderate. Trump is the authoritarian who wants to gut the First Amendment because he can't handle criticism, who loves torture and the police state, whose tax plan would fuck over the middle and the working class, who's way out of his depth when it comes to anything policy-related.

He can't even criticize Hillary for changing her positions because Trump has changed his positions when convenient just as much, if not more than her.
>>
>>66011887
No, you overestimate it. Most people don't hate her at all. She had approval ratings in the 60s when she was SoS.

What you are talking about is how much Republicans and conservatives hate her. And it's true, they do. A lot. But it's not like they're going to vote for a Democrat anyway, even >le revoLOSEtion man.

Trump's excuse is that he wasn't a politician. As a business man he had to get along with everyone.

There are thousands of ways to be moderate if by moderate you just mean someone who has a few right wing views and a few left wing views. By that definition, Trump is a moderate.

Hillary is a moderate but she has almost no right wing ideas at all. It's just that her left wing ones are lower-case 'l' liberal and not literally socialist like Hernie. That puts her in the mainstream on most issues, but not all.

>Trump's excuse is that he wasn't a politician. As a business man he had to get along with everyone
Makes no fucking sense. Your political views don't matter much as a business man as long as they're relatively mainstream. If I'm making a real estate deal with you, why would I care about your views on abortion? And in any case, you could make the same excuse for politicians: they have to pander to their base, they have to be diplomatic, etc.

>>66012611
>by moderate you just mean someone who has a few right wing views and a few left wing views. By that definition, Trump is a moderate.
Trump is a hodgepodge of extreme views, not really a moderate. And his views, including his trade protectionism, actually fit squarely within the authoritarian nationalist tradition.

>>66012716
This would be said about any candidate that backs Trump.

>In every national poll, Trump loses more Republicans than he gains Democrats.

http://www.usnews.com/opinion/articles/2016-01-08/new-poll-shows-donald-trump-is-a-real-threat-to-hillary-clinton

>Nearly 20 percent of likely Democratic voters say they'd cross sides and vote for Trump, while a small number, or 14 percent, of Republicans claim they'd vote for Clinton. When those groups were further broken down, a far higher percentage of the crossover Democrats contend they are "100 percent sure" of switching than the Republicans.

Check Google news. Almost everyone is humiliating Christie over this.

Lol @ believing anything you just said. I just love the fear actually Hillary shills have of Trump. Trump might give her a stroke on stage, but if she survives to the election Trump is going to win the biggest blow out since Bush in 88.

Politics and business are intimately intertwined in NY. To deny such a relationship is foolish. In order to be a successful politician, you must cozy up to the liberal scum. When you're the opposition to the liberal zionist scum, you must speak the truth, which is contrary to the general population of new israel.

Christie knew what he was doing. It's a gamble. He's a big guy, let him make his own decisions. It'll all fit into his master plan in the end.

All this crap has happened before. Jack Kemp talked a lot of shit about Bob Dole, George H.W. Bush talked a lot of shit about Reagan...it's just a bunch of hype from a lolbergtardian blog.

Over what? Supporting Trump? Why just now?

Regardless; Christie's going to have to sink or swim now. He made the decision to support Trump knowing how controversial it would be. He can either let people tear him apart and feel bad about it or he can be a real Jersey motherfucker and ram through that shit.

Dean wasn't winning when he did the scream. He had a huge lead in the polls and everyone thought he was going to win big and then he came in Iowa and that killed a lot of the momentum.

It's a shame, Dean is much better than Kerry.

Still surprisingly good for his position at the time. I remember he had a real grass roots movement going using the (then still kinda newish) internet.

Dean was huge on the internet. He was like how Paul was in 2008 or how Bernie is now.
