I've never tried to silence someone for espousing a different point of view. That's why I enjoy /pol/ far more than reddit. People are free to say whatever they like here, within the rules of the site and board, and all people can do is call you out or hide your post from themselves. They don't have the power to completely silence you like they can do on reddit with a few clicks of a down arrow.
