He's going to pick Kasich. He's already stated that he wants/needs an actual politician for his VP and Kasich served both in Congress and then as Governor. They also haven't been going at each other like Trump/Rubio/Cruz. Beyond all this he's viewed as a semi-establishment candidate who is not 100% orthodox Republican which makes him a good pick because it doesn't directly contradict Trump's message. He's worked with Republicans and Democrats during his terms and he's close to Trump when it comes to saving Social Security and healthcare for veterans and the very poor.
