The birth rate crisis modern western societies face is rooted in wage labour.

2. People have to go a long time to school, really it's not needed. Long ago you needed children to provide for you in your old age with both money and care if you wanted a meaningful retirement. But since government "socialized" this services, you no longer need to have children to receiveit.
