Global warming IS happening and IS a serious issue... however it's not even remotely the most urgent threat facing the human race, and more importantly the solutions proposed by liberals are all basically half-measures like carbon credits, emissions standards, efficiency standards, etc.
We need to have a very real, serious discussion about energy production in the United States, and we need to start increasing our utilization of EVERY alternative power source if we every want to stop our dependence on fossil fuels. That means more solar, wind, geothermal, hydroelectric, natural gas, and yes - uranium fission, too.

Climate change is happening, as it always does the climate changes over time. When El Niño is strong there is usually a reaction blaming anthropogenic global warming, it happened in the late 90s too.
Its hard to say for sure if climate change is being affected by man as the science is so politically motivated its hard to trust them.
If the worst case scenario is true - how are we even going to begin to do something about it? Humans would need to change their way of life drastically to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. we are living in a boom caused by fossil fuels. To drastically decrease the demand would mean a lower population and less consumerism which means less economic growth. It would stunt the growth of developing nations and plunge developed ones in to recession. As long as the model we are working with is based on consumption and growth, serious environmental and ecological problems are guaranteed in the future.
