He is one of my favorite broadcasters in radio. I rank him as highly as Howard, Ant and Norton, Art Bell, and so on.
I also think he is criminally underrated in this medium. Stern sucks ass now and lost his market, and the same is true for O&A and others. Savage sometimes speaks absolute truths as far as what makes good radio, such as most recently talking about how he refuses to let callers develop into regulars. And while some criticize him for silencing callers, maintaining control is crucial.
The man is a fucking legend at radio, irrespective of what anyone thinks of his politics. In fact, his politics have pissed me off too many times to count, but I've been tuning in my whole adult life for a reason, and it's because his show isn't the predictable GOP talking points found on other political talk shows. Hell, he's the only one who would make the connection of someone like Sanders to the typical union organizing commie Jews of NY 60 some years ago.
