It's actually like a small simulation of Trump vs everyone else. All the debates come down to x candidate vs Trump, and Trump can hold his own against them 95% of the time. The news networks entice everyone to gang up on Trump, but Trump is able to stand his ground. Is that not an attractive trait in a leader, being steadfast and unwavering? Especially having some push-over puppet pussy like Obama, a president that's not afraid to speak his beliefs, no matter how offensive or disagreeable, is an attractive trait.

Every time the media attack Trump they make the mistake of not thinking that his base won't see the attack as a personal one aimed at them. Calling his supporters "low educated" makes the low educated mad and makes the highly educated even madder (MS here).
Then they double down and provoke rage by attacking his positions which are the sole reason in some cases he has the support. If Cruz or Rubio were even slightly trusted enough on immigration they wouldn't be trsailing Trump so badly.
