Why do you support Bernie?

So far the only reasonable explanation I've heard is the fact that he's driven his campaign by discussing policy rather than relying on ad hominems, even when he the chance. That's something that I could genuinely respect about him, however that doesn't explain why his policies are terrible.

Please give me your honest input on this matter.

I am not going to vote for him but his only bad ideas are his stance on guns and minimum wage. Everything else will improve the country drastically, namely free higher education.
>>
>>65627049
There isn't a reason. Whoever doesn't vote Republican is anti-white. All Americans should vote Republican to save the country and I'm not even really a Republican.

It's the best solution to the current situation.

I guarantee anyone who is not voting Republican is a guilted cuck or anti white.

No it won't. Just because he says he will doesn't mean it will work. You're a fucking edge teen that doesn't know shit about government or the economy.

You're a fucking choir boy.
>>
He is if nothing else consistent. He has literally held the same views on nearly every issue for multiple decades. People that vote for him know EXACTLY what they would be getting and I do respect that.

I used to hold the same set of beliefs as you in relation to free higher education, especially being Canadian, but then I watched the following video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eghzIbRuWKw

After I did so and over time, I enrolled in macroeconomic courses and I have to say I've been proven otherwise on this issue.

>why do you support bernie

No one supports him, if you see a post that says they do, it's most likely a reddit shill

Simply put all of his plans rely on someone else to do the work for him and he believe's that money will magically appear if he wills it
I'm putting in layman's terms but almost all of his policies have major significant flaws and if by some miraculous chance they actually pass through congress it can only lead to more economic disaster on par with great depression

tl;dw

I should qualify I only support free education proportionally in fields that are predicted to be valuable to the nation.

You're really enforcing the stereotype of Sanders supporters being lazy if you refuse to watch a 10 minute video. That's embarrassing.
>>

>Free Higher Education meme
It won't work. You destroy incentive for something that people already notoriously blow off.
Secondly, It's adding a surplus to college graduates that we already have, there is no demand for more college educated art degrees or run of the mill business degrees. There is no need for it.
Thirdly, It's not free. It's an investment, and an extremely risky one when we are already in debt. Heavily, fat, cornucopias amounts of debt.
It makes zero sense to anyone that has studied economics outside Bernies campaign.
>>
>>65628207
it has nothing to do with being lazy. it's simply not worth my time to watch some random kid talk for 10 minutes when you could just link me to an article that conveys the same information or give me the gist of it right now.

>>65628257
investing in STEM graduates is about as safe a bet as you can get. the only alternative is simply not giving a fuck about poor uneducated people who are increasingly going to get replaced by robots which is a perfectly fine position to take.
>>
>>65627693
I've been coming to 4chan on and off since 2005 and have been to reddit less times than i've been out of country.

I support bernie because I believe that America should have someone actively trying to make it great again by removing the monetary influence from politics thus allowing people to be more involved in the process instead of being presented two nominees who have been sponsored by their economic interests.

Trump is who I will vote for if Hillary is nominated because he has done this to some degree but with a bit more xenophobia and less ideas for economic and social reform.
>>
>>65628542
I don't care about your time. You're browsing /pol/ right now, you can't possibly convince me that your time is valuable.

Also, Sanders never implied in any of his policies that he's only making STEM school free of charge to students, so that's still not a good explanation as to why you support Sanders.
>>
The grass is always greener on the other side and he's telling people he'll take them to the other side.
>>
>>65628770
Trump lost my support when he said we should boycott Apple for refusing to make a backdoor into the iPhone for the FBI. He said he would consult experts in his presidency and tech experts support Apple's decision.
>>
>>65628908
You may not care about my time but I do which is why I am not going to watch some random kid talk for 10 minutes. You clearly don't care about your time either considering you probably could have summed up the video in the time it took you to argue with me about it.

>investing in STEM graduates is about as safe a bet as you can get.
>HERR DERR I DONT DO RESEARCH
They're not going to STEM fields. This information is literally widely available.
They're actually largely not even completing degrees.
UA of Fort Smith is a prime example. They made in easier for students to go, and the pass rate dropped from 44% to 11%.

>bernie
>removing the monetary influence
>by getting dumb fucking college kids to give him their money

What the fuck are you talking about?

His whole platform has everything to do with economic interest, his whole point is to get money from """"1%""""" to pay for everything
Literally all of his plans are about increasing taxes and giving the money to less deserving people
What
The

In Denmark a Masters degree costs about 500,000 kr.
In Denmark, people with a masters degree pay on average 2,000,000 more in taxes than people without.

Therefore it is a good bussiness for the state to give free education. Not just for the citizens own benefit, but for the benefit of the state. It's profitable.

Every time I meet a Bernie supporter, I ask them what their favorite policy is, in a polite way.
None of them know any of his policies. Every time I ask, they don't know. Some get embarrassed, some get angry. They like Bernie because they were told to like Bernie

then add 4 more years onto public high school and force people to study STEM

Actually, Bernie's policies are spot-on. Bernie doesn't understand why they are, but they are.

Jobs are disappearing. Period. Technology is making human labor obsolete, it's already happening. It isn't discussed, because accepting this obvious reality would be the start of panic-mode, and if the American people are only good at one thing, it's hiding from the truth. But it's definitely happening.

So, then what?

Socialism is the ONLY sustainable possibility. It's coming, within the next 20 years. Full-on, bearded-Russian socialism.

The sooner we prepare for it, the better position we'll be in when the time comes that the citizens no longer produce consumer goods. That's why Bernie Sanders is the ACTUAL "red-pill" vote.

You people on /pol/ are merely short-sighted throwbacks. If you had the ability to look at the big picture in full context, you'd see that free-market capitalism is drawing its last breath, and socialism is the clear winner.

Clear as an azure sky of deepest summer.

There's no denying that we've economically been on a slippery slope for decades.

He's the only candidate who wants to focus on fixing that.

You can say that his policies are terrible, but I'd love to hear why you think so. Particularly given that one of his major policies is healthcare, where your own country takes care of everyone already.

Agreed, but where is bernie asserting this?
